It would seem that of late the Olympic games are being effected by man made decisions elsewhere in the world. The 2008 Olympics in China were marred by events in Tibet causing issues with the running of the torch, and this time it seems there is too little snow due partly to global warming. [Read more →]
It has not exactly been front page news, but the now open waters of the arctic that are a direct result of global warming are becoming a bit of a territory issue. If there is any sure fire thing that can lead to war, it is a dispute over real-estate. Planting a Russian flag in the sea bed at the north pole seems to say “MINE!” [Read more →]
The H5N1 bird flu is in the USA, or is it? It is seemingly a possibility as the virus has been detected on the door step of the USA and not in the USA. At the speed in witch it arrived leaves one to wonder if an information blackout is underway. [Read more →]
