After the civil war of the United States, Congress enacted the 14th amendment to the Constitution. For lack of a better nickname, Section 3 we have dubbed it the Karma section, and Trump’s elected insurrection enablers will likely get a taste. Continue reading Post ID 16458

2018 in review
If you did not raise your eyebrows in 2018 with things going on as they were, you may have been in a coma. From the disintegration of Donald Trump, to journalists being murdered, to everything else coming off the rails, 2018 will go down as a year of firsts where good vs bad took center stage. Continue reading Post ID 16458

The left vs right spin tug of war
With the onset of social media, everyone who has an opinion about American politics is making their opinion known. You can select any channel on YouTube or other platform to be heard, but the only problem is many who are empowering their keyboard or camera don’t share the ethical integrity of a proper journalist. That results in reality being viewed on those bent and warped funhouse mirrors. Continue reading Post ID 16458

2017 in review
Perhaps 2017 is best called the year of denial. Ignoring known facts and pushing forward with political fantasies that amount to pointing the Titanic towards a head on collision with that big chunk of ice. Continue reading Post ID 16458

All the pre-election warnings about Trump coming true
This is not meant to be an ‘I told you so’ entry about if Donald Trump is elected President. It is more about what do we do now seeing we did elect him President. Continue reading Post ID 16458

Narcissism influenced Presidential behavior Part 5
Having a narcissist leading the country is a new experience for Americans. But in the case of Connecting the Dots we have had years of experience outside of the United States. What that means is we know what to expect and what will likely come next. Continue reading Post ID 16458

The dots leading to President Donald Trump
The dots leading to Donald Trump becoming President started long before he announced he was running for the office in June 2015. In fact we could say his actual journey started in Late August 2008, although he had no idea at the time as he was not directly involved. Continue reading Post ID 16458

The damage Political Correctness has already caused Part 2
One of the most damaging things Political Correctness causes is complacency. Not wanting to talk about things that are negative and only talking in a positive way. It even causes people who are in touch with the real world to be labeled alarmists and ignored for the most part. The first big dose of damage cause by that Politically Correct complacency came on the morning of September 11, 2001. Continue reading Post ID 16458

Coup d’état in Thailand 10 years on
It was perhaps the most real-time documented Coup d’état in history. Hundreds of ex-pats were posting on a popular internet forum what was going on outside there window, and the server was swamped. The one thing that was noticed was the Thai People were all for the military intervention, and fear was replaced with sighs of relief and celebration in the coming days. Continue reading Post ID 16458

Thailand’s rapidly changing culture Part 5
Other changes were being seen as well as even some Thai monks were being seduced off the path of monkhood. This however for the most part is still seen as scandalous as Thais have not forgotten their roots, but simply see it as use as needed. If a Thai goes upcountry they emulate the behavior of their parents and people in their village. So that says the behavior seen in the urban areas is much about emulation to fit in as well. Thailand’s rapidly changing culture Part 3
Things were changing so quickly in or around 2006 the Thai Government set the Ministry of Culture into less of a passive position and into a much more aggressive posture to try to stem the change. However most Thais saw that as being both outdated and also being intrusive into their lives. It seemed the ministry was not trying to wind things back to 1999, it seemed they were targeting 1899 and that caused the Ministry to be widely ignored. Continue reading Post ID 16458

Thailand’s rapidly changing culture Part 2
With the onset of this influence that looked Thai but was not, the behavior observed was slowly being integrated into rural Thailand. The desire for wealth in a predominantly poor sector of society was overriding the teaching of Buddhism for moderation. That change became the catalyst for change in Thai culture. Thailand moving forward with new Constitution
Connecting the Dots has been silent on Thai politics for some time. The reason for this is since the 2014 Coup, what has been going on in Thailand politically has been 100% a Thai thing. So we were very content to make it a spectator event as there was things to be learned from it. But now that the Thai people have had had their first say about things in over two years, we thought it would be a good time to see what they said. Continue reading Post ID 16458
