  • Anti Thaksin protesters invoking Government eviction section of Constitution

Posted on December 11, 2013 12:02 am by Richard

In what seems to be an emergency reset section of the 2007 Thai Constitution, the anti Thaksin protesters seem to have the Constitution on their side. However as this section of the Constitution has never been tested, there are scholars and professionals on both sides of the yes you can and no you can’t argument. But when you step back and look at the big picture about Thaksin and his massive corruption, people just naturally want to give it a go and hope it works. That is except for Thaksin and his beneficiaries of corruption. Continue reading → Post ID 14554

  • Thailand’s political violence cycle alive and well

Posted on April 22, 2013 9:34 am by Richard

When you sit down and read today’s news in Thailand, you will suddenly realize you have seen all of this before and not that long ago. Because of that, you also know what is coming and it is not good for anyone and only looks to serve just one person. Continue reading → Post ID 14554

  • Shameless reasons to change Thai Constitution

Posted on January 18, 2013 12:03 am by Richard

Usually people try to hide secondary motives when trying to influence others to do things that will ultimately benefit them. Even when it comes to the biggest mango in the lot being changing the laws that govern the land, there is no shame or remorse shown when the underlying reasons are purely self serving and out in the open for all to see. • Thaksin ignoring Thai court on Constitution

Posted on December 19, 2012 12:02 am by Richard

If you sit back and watch all the various positions taken on changing Thailand’s Constitution, you start to see that some crucial things are getting lost in the blur. One of the most important things is the criteria the Thai court said must be met before any changes can be made, and for the most part that is being ignored. Continue reading → Post ID 14554

  • Thailand’s new school political weapons

Posted on December 14, 2012 12:01 am by Richard

If anyone would say that Thailand’s 2007 Constitution was not effective in changing the behavior of politicians, they simply would be dead wrong. Not only has the Constitution brought about desired change in the behavior of bad boy politicians, it has created a whole new breed of ‘Top Gun’ politicians who’s only focus is to get their opponents tossed in jail. • Thaksin tempts fate

Posted on July 16, 2012 2:20 pm by Richard

Thailand’s Constitutional court has ruled on the prerequisites needed to change the Constitution, and every single one of them stands in Thaksin’s way. But because of Thaksin’s state of mind, he will be compelled to tempt fate and try to get things his way and sacrifice his supporters in the process. Continue reading → Post ID 14554
