Posted on May 2, 2017 12:02 am by Richard

As predicted in Part 13 of this series, we now have Part 14. Our first reaction was that of a big smile, and the realization that some people that work for Google don’t venture more than a 1 hour drive from home. Continue reading → Post ID 16264

  • Brexit – Be careful what you ask for!

Posted on November 2, 2016 12:02 am by Richard

It goes without saying the pending exit of Britain from the European Union is starting to resemble stepping into something organic at a farm with many animals. But this is just an example of people not thinking out clearly what would happen and listening to a few well-spoken people who had an agenda. Continue reading → Post ID 16264

  • When common sense and political correctness conflict

Posted on December 22, 2015 12:02 am by Richard

There are people who live and breathe political correctness, and there are those who despise it. Every now and again the people that live and breathe political correctness come across something that the common sense answer is not politically correct. How much that happens depends on how politically correct a person is and how willing they are to do the right thing. The problem is the right thing is the wrong thing. Assault PencilAfter the terrorist attack in Paris France attacking a satirical publication Charlie Hebdo for allegedly publishing pictures of Mohammed, the backlash to that act will start to be felt globally. Posted on February 14, 2014 12:02 am by Richard

Let it not be said that some of the efforts of Thaksin’s proxy Government to attack anti-Thaksin protesters are without humor. The attacking methods they are using are backfiring one after the other making the Government look incompetent and at the same time providing more evidential support why they need to be removed from office. Posted on February 25, 2013 12:04 am by Richard

Up until recently it was not that hard to know what to call that plot of land just west of Thailand. If you had respect for the Junta that renamed it from Burma to Myanmar, you called it whatever they wanted to call it. If you did not have respect for the Junta you simply called it Burma. But now that democracy is once again sprouting in that plot of land just to the west of Thailand, there is now some dispute as what to call it. Continue reading → Post ID 16264

Every now and then you read a story in the news about some Islamic law that is being imposed someplace that at the very least makes you raise your eyebrows and makes you read it again just to be sure. Most of the Islamic laws that hit the news do so simply because they are so far off the accepted mainstream of today’s life, they make people want to read about the poor unfortunate people who are being treated as if they had no self control. If you happen to live in Thailand and talk to a Thai woman about her online experiences with dating sites, many will tell you of bad experiences with men who have never set foot in Thailand. The reputation Thailand has about sex tends to distort the reality of what most Thai women are really like.
