  • Thai Government taming media

Posted on January 13, 2015 12:02 am by Richard

When you read the title of this entry it can both provoke anger and curiosity. But if you read into it and connect all the dots, you will start to see an encouraging shift towards more responsible journalism. The reason for this is some Thai journalists seem more interested in provoking a reaction than to presenting balanced reporting of the news. Continue reading → Post ID 15266

  • Female sex offenders Part 2

Posted on January 7, 2015 12:02 am by Richard

There are other types of female sex offenders as well, and some are just into it for money and exploitation. For this group of female sex offenders, their behavior clearly triggers the instinctual behavior to protect the young that is seen in many species and not only human. It is that same instinct that makes it difficult for pedophiles to survive in prison as there are parents in there too. Continue reading → Post ID 15266

Posted on October 11, 2012 6:03 pm by Richard

Unless you have been hiding in a box for the past 5 to 10 years, you would have noticed the gradual increase in laws that are meant to stop cyber crime. However the general wording of those laws also allows the suppression of free speech. It is this infringement on voices that has people up in arms. Continue reading → Post ID 15266

Posted on July 23, 2010 12:02 am by Richard

As the Thaksin on the run saga continues and he wears out his welcome country after country, his world is getting smaller and smaller. It would seem that countries that have a low number Thaksin is banned from entry. The ones he manages to sneak into quickly toss him out or encourage him to leave by not allowing him to launch political attacks from their soil. Sooner or later he may end up in Haiti as they could use his money big time. Continue reading → Post ID 15266

  • Thailand’s other political battle Part 3

Posted on March 31, 2010 12:02 am by Richard

So messing with the level of corruption in Thailand is a bit like sawing off a chair leg. Sitting in the chair offers an experience that is not what was intended. The chair becomes for the most part unusable and is replaced with another of any style. Continue reading → Post ID 15266

Once you come to learn how corruption in Thailand seems to make things just a little nicer to the end user being tourist and others wanting to get things done, you start to wonder about the wisdom of cleaning it up. There clearly is a trade off that must be carefully weighed before deciding on the hole size of the screen that looks to filter it out. Continue reading → Post ID 15266

    Putin Macho look

People that are more appealing to others are the people who seem to fit in. So whet you take a look at people like Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin and see them in assorted macho settings, that appeal not only makes you feel good about them, but it also can get them votes on election day. The Alpha male image does get right down to the roots of the desire to fall behind a good leader. Continue reading → Post ID 15266

  • Alpha male Thai politics

Posted on August 10, 2009 12:01 am by Richard

When you have a large number of lesser educated people, it is often if not always over their heads to understand what is the right path for the country. They are often deceived into following the wrong path. Part of that deception is rooted in the subconscious, and that subconscious says to follow the Alpha male as the Alpha male is the best provider. Continue reading → Post ID 15266
