  • Predicting Thaksin’s post Coup Moves Part 3

Posted on June 11, 2014 12:02 am by Richard

Seeing that Thaksin Shinawatra’s behavior will not be much different than in the past, addressing new things that he may not have encountered before requires a bit more thought. But in reality that is not much of an issue. The harder task is to anticipate what those new things may be in 4 to 6 months in the future. Continue reading → Post ID 15051

  • Thailand’s vote buying neutralizer

Posted on June 6, 2014 12:02 am by Richard

    Vote buying neutralizer

A vote buying neutralizer certainly sounds fantastic and a bit hard to believe, particularly so for a country that suffers from it. However Thailand now has the opportunity to actually install just such a neutralizer as a direct result of the opportunities political reform offers. All things considered all Thais want this, that is except for the self serving politicians who would buy votes to get into office. Continue reading → Post ID 15051

  • Layers of laws to stop Thaksin Part 2

Posted on June 3, 2014 12:02 am by Richard

After Thaksin and his supporters got a good taste of the new laws designed to stop them from being corrupt and self serving, they made the decision people who are not willing to change make. That decision was to do their best to remove or get around the laws that are in their way. The thought of complying with the law obviously never entered their mind. Continue reading → Post ID 15051

  • Layers of laws to stop Thaksin Part 1

Posted on June 2, 2014 12:02 am by Richard

There are not that many people in the world who can motivate the creation of laws. Each law that is considered has an underlying goal of stopping bad and promoting good, and the laws often deal with events that could be avoided or limited. But to have laws designed to stop a specific person’s self serving ambition at the expense of all others, says a lot about the person they are trying to stop. Continue reading → Post ID 15051

  • Unbalanced stand-off with Thaksin Shinawatra

Posted on May 13, 2014 12:02 am by Richard

As Thailand’s political unrest continues, the financial pain continues to grow as Thailand’s economy moves from the plus to the minus column. This unfortunately plays into Thaksin’s hands as shortly after the 2006 coup, Thaksin announced he would squeeze Thailand into submissiveness by using this exact same method. • Thai Government punishing businessmen for fighting corruption

Posted on February 12, 2014 12:02 am by Richard

Fight corruption in Thailand and get deported is the message from the Thaksin proxy Government. That is the message that comes from the same Government who wanted blanket Amnesty for all the politicians who were convicted of corruption or still facing the court. Posted on February 6, 2014 12:02 am by Richard

Thailand’s Election Commission (EC) has made it loud and clear that the elections will not continue until disputes between the Thaksin proxy Government and the Anti-Thaksin protesters are resolved. This new twist may force Thaksin out of power as it looks to become a test of wills. Continue reading → Post ID 15051

  • Thaksin vs Suthep

Posted on December 20, 2013 12:02 am by Richard

For what it is worth, it seems Suthep Thaugsuban has become target number one for Thaksin Shinawatra. When you look at the news and see the ever growing list of charges against Suthep, you can’t help but have two emotions hit you at the same time. One emotion makes you want to smile and roll your eyes because the charges are such a stretch and obviously frivolous. The second emotion is anger because Thaksin has not acknowledged he is the problem and not Suthep. Continue reading → Post ID 15051
